The term “incesablemente” translates literally to “unceasing mind” in English.

I lived by the sea, yet I felt terribly depressed. The pulsograms emerged as an attempt to quell the thoughts that only seemed to suffocate me further.

These drawings, where each line is an effort to stay present with a blank mind, represented my first foray into non-photographic work, something I wasn’t ready to accept. It wasn’t the right time to venture into the unknown; I needed to return to solid ground where I could stand firmly: photography.

I photographed each pulsogram and manipulated them in Photoshop until they became images. Once again, I could breathe.

This project marks a significant milestone in my practice; it was my initial foray into drawing and the multidisciplinary realm.
